April 2017 Net Position Update

Hey everyone! Welcome to the first net position update for my blog. I couldn’t be happier with how this first month has gone. While it was in no way perfect, it’s a great first step for me on my journey. How I Started Investing

Hey everyone! Today I want to outline how I first started investing and how easy it can be for anyone.

I want to preface this post by saying, whilst I am studying business, before starting this journey I had no previous knowledge of finance and most of the time struggled to even commit to saving. While I hope to help simplify the process for students and fresh investors like myself, the steps I took are most likely imperfect.

My name is James, I’m 23 and currently in my 3rd year of a Business/IT degree in Brisbane, Australia. I still live in my family home with my mum and my girlfriend of almost 4 years and our dog Bino. Here’s my little guy for reference.
